Help & Support
Need a hand, found a bug, or have an idea? We'd love to hear from you. The fastest way to reach us is by email. A real person, often the person who built the app, will reply, usually within one working day.
Email us with your question, your device and iOS version, and any steps to reproduce a bug. The more detail, the faster we can help.
Do I need an account to use Sober Glass?
No. There's no sign‑up and no account. Open the app and start logging. Everything works straight away.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything you log stays on your device. Sober Glass has no servers, no analytics and no third‑party trackers, and it works fully offline. You can read the detail in our Privacy Policy.
Does the app work offline?
Completely. Sober Glass never needs an internet connection to log drinks, track your streak or show your insights.
How are units, calories and cost calculated?
When you log a drink, Sober Glass uses its volume and strength (ABV) to work out UK standard units and an estimated calorie count, and uses the price you enter for the cost. You can fine‑tune the size, quantity and price each time, and the totals update instantly.
Can I sync with Apple Health?
Yes, optionally. You can let Sober Glass write the drinks you log to Apple Health so they sit alongside your other health data. It only ever writes to Health. It never reads your Health data. You can turn this on or off any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
How do I back up or move my data to a new iPhone?
You can export your history from within the app at any time. Your app data is also included in your normal device backup (such as iCloud Backup) if you have that enabled, so it can be restored when you set up a new iPhone.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual entries inside the app, or remove everything at once by deleting Sober Glass from your device. If you synced to Apple Health, you can remove that data separately in the Health app.
Which devices are supported?
Sober Glass is an iPhone app, designed for recent versions of iOS.
When is Sober Glass coming out?
We're putting the finishing touches on it. Sober Glass is coming soon to the App Store. Email us if you'd like a nudge when it's live.
A gentle note: Sober Glass is a wellbeing and tracking tool, not medical advice. If you're worried about your drinking, please talk to your GP or a local alcohol support service.
